Purchasing Manager-Materials

Purchases all materials and contract packaging services for the organization.  Tracks commodity pricing of all critical raw materials.  Negotiates long and short term pricing contracts for all materials.  Tracks supplier performance in the areas of quality, cost, customer delight, and innovation.  Acts as the primary purchasing contact on material vendor issues. 

Must have strong communication and organizational skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Navision or equivalent ERP system.  Requires at least five years of purchasing experience, preferable in a consumer manufacturing environment.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred, however significant experience with continuing education can be substituted.  APICS CPIM or CSCP certifications preferred.
